The Golden Wedding celebration was a big enough event to deserve a photograph and article in the newpaper. It About 120 people were invited. sent gold embroidered pieces of cardboard on which to write gree reported on in the newspaper and  It was written up in the newpapFrieda writes: "There were three long, detailed descriptions of the Golden Wedding celebration, all of which were in German."
