The Linz, Bergemeister, Kranstover Branch of the Family

Notes by Frieda on some of the people listed in the family chart:

      Henriette Holterhoff Linz
          Henriette was only 16 years old when she married. She entered St. Peter's hospital in September of 1869 at the
            age of 29, when her month old baby son died.
        Frank (Franz) Linz 
          The first St. Paul City Directory (1856-1857) lists F. Linz, Wholesale Liquor, St. Anthony, corner Washington. The 1958-1959 
          St. Paul City Directory lists F. Linz Liqur and Cigar Dealer, between Franklin and Washington and the home address as 5th and  
          St. Peter Streets.
        Cornelia Linz Scheele
          All connection with this family is lost.
        Pauline Linz Frey
          Etta Willius visited this family in Vancouver.
        Clara Linz Bergemeier
          Clara lived with her family, the Bergemeiers, on Fountain St. north of East 5th St. near the large old Hamm House and Hamm's
          Brewing Co.They had fascinating gardens and fountains.Frieda and her sisters and brother played there as children. They were 
          first cousins of Etta Bergemeier, Clara's daughter. She is buried in Roselawn Cemetery.
        William Bergemeier
          Clara's husband, William,  was from Hanover, Germany. He was the editor of St. Paul's German newspaper, "The Volkzeitung".
          William had a brother the Claussen children called "Uncle Fritz". They were very fond of him. He lived to a ripe old age and died  
          California. Clara and William Bergemeier were close friends of Martha and Oscar Claussen. They went to many of the same 
          parties.
        Harry Kranstover
          Harry was married to Etta Bergemeier. He was in a dry cleaning business that sold to Anderson Cleaners when he and his wife 
          moved to Milwaukee to be near their daughter.
